9 of 12: You Can Read My Text If You Would Like

When I wear text on my shirt, I normally am not anticipating readers. Actually, I wear shirts in an attempt to match and if they happen to have words on them, then you can read them. My intentions are not mainly to have my shirt read though.

There are rare instances where I do wear clothing to be read. For instance, when I go to a sports event, I try to wear a shirt supporting the team and a player that I like. Is this considered wearing a shirt to be read or would you say I am just trying to interact with you?

  1. Thank you for your post. But HEY! Have you considered the importance of words and the words we wear? The words on your shirt can say a lot about a person's personality and who they are. Sometimes they can mean more to outsiders than whether or not the shirt matches. For some, maybe the text they wear is an attempt to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Or maybe it is to make a statement. Perhaps, it is not necessarily the wearing of the text that says so much as does the initial purchasing of the clothing. Yes, you do choose a shirt mainly so that the colors match with the rest of your outfit, but you initially bought the shirt for a much bigger reason.

  2. Interesting point about wearing text to sport games. I personally feel there are some people who do try to get their text read at sport games and cause fights by wearing opposing team's logos/texts.

Why do you not intend to have your tshirts read? At college, you come in contact with so many people, that some tshirts can be good conversation starters.
